About the Event:
In honour of National Child & Youth Mental Health Day, this conference is intended to bring together youth, parents, caregivers, professionals, service providers and those invested in child and youth mental health - to help us define what Family Smart™ could mean to our Nation.  There will also be discussion and forums dedicated to defining the tangible outcomes that are meaningful to families and how Family Smart™ can help each of us together reach these outcomes.

Background:
The National Institute of Families for Child & Youth Mental Health (IF) was founded in 2009 and is a central coordinating organization that helps connect families with mental health care providers, policy makers, educators, researchers, service providers and businesses across Canada.  Family Smart™ is the IF’s first initiative, and is essentially a way to identify and endorse programs, practices, policies, services and research that families have previously identified as meaningful and helpful to them.
