PATRICK DION
- Began public service career as assistant and advisor to a Toronto-area Member of Parliament.
- Served as legislative assistant to the Parliamentary Secretary to the Minister of Finance; policy analyst with the federal Finance Department’s International Trade Policy Division; and legislative and communications advisor to the Secretary of State for International Financial Institutions.
- Currently serves as Chair of the Board of City of Ottawa-owned Pine View Municipal Golf Course and is a member of the Board of Directors of Hydro Ottawa Holding Inc.,
- Chosen as one of Ottawa Business Journal’s Forty Under 40 in 2006.
DANA HEIDE
- Appointed as Assistant Deputy Minister, NWT in February 2008
- Represents all three Territories on the Mental Health Commission
- Prior to this appointment, led a number of Government-wide initiatives
- Has served as the Director of Child and Family Services, Director of Integrated Community Services and the Director of Mental Health
DAN FLORIZONE
- Dan Florizone has almost twenty-five years of experience in the health care sector.
- Previously served as the CEO of the Five Hills Health Region. He also held the position of Assistant Deputy Minister in Saskatchewan Health and CEO for Moose Jaw-Thunder Creek Health District, and the South-East Health District.
- Mr. Florizone has extensive experience across the province having held senior positions in the health sector in the province of Saskatchewan.
- Recently, he served as the Chairperson of the Saskatchewan Health Quality Council. He is currently a Board Member on the Canadian Patient Safety Institute.
- Holds a Master of Business Administration degree from the University of Regina and a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of Saskatchewan.
MILTON SUSSMAN
Milton Sussman assumed his role as Deputy Minister of Health for Manitoba on
March 22, 2010.
Prior to this appointment, Mr. Sussman served as Chief Operating Officer of the Winnipeg Regional Health Authority (WRHA) and Vice President of Community Health Services from July 2006 to March 2010.
He was responsible for a number of provincial programs including Child & Adolescent Mental Health, Manitoba Renal Program, Manitoba eHealth, Diagnostic Services of Manitoba (DSM) and Clinical Health Psychology.
Former Deputy Minister of Manitoba Family Services & Housing and Deputy Minister of Manitoba Health & Healthy Living
Prior to his appointments with the Manitoba Government, Mr. Sussman was Vice President, Long Term Care & Services to Seniors/Chief Allied Health Officer at the WRHA. His responsibilities included overseeing the rehabilitation and geriatric programs, the personal care home program, senior centres, support services to seniors, and adult day care programs.
