

Writers encouraged to join conversation on Canada’s health services
Journalists interested in mental health are invited to make written submissions challenging widely held beliefs in Canadian healthcare.
The Mental Health Commission of Canada (MHCC) is joining the Canadian Health Services Research Foundation (CHSRF) in seeking research summary articles for CHSRF Mythbusters, a series debunking widely-held health care misconceptions in Canada. The winning journalist will have their article published in the CHSRF Mythbusters series, receive financial rewards and other honours.
Applicants must ensure their submissions deals specifically with mental health issues in Canada, and have direct implications for at least one of the following areas:
- healthcare financing
- healthcare delivery
- health system management
The deadline for submissions is January 17, 2012.
