The Service Systems Advisory Committee’s mission is to provide advice to the Commission on the ingredients necessary to create high performing mental health systems that meet the needs of people living with a mental illness.

The committee has determined those ingredients include but are not limited to: diversity, peer support/consumer-operated programs, supportive housing, health human resources planning, concurrent disorder capacity and the interface between primary health care and mental health systems across the country.

The committee’s work will encompass areas of federal jurisdiction as well as provincial systems.
