Free Monthly Webinars on Recovery-Oriented Practice

*Attention*  - Please note that May’s recovery webinar will take place on Friday, May 27th and not on the third Thursday in May. The webinar will be recorded and posted to the archive page for those not able to join.

The Mental Health Commission of Canada (MHCC) is hosting a series of free Recovery-Oriented Practice webinars on the third Thursday of every month at 1:00 p.m. ET.

Sign up for this month’s recovery-oriented practice webinar. On Friday, May 27th, 2016, the fifth webinar in this series will explore how to address the multiple factors that contribute to mental health problems and illnesses within a recovery-oriented approach. Even though recovery is a personal journey, it happens in the context of a person’s life, intersecting with family, friends, communities and social responsibilities.  Join our guest speakers Katherine Stewart and Regina Casey to learn more about advancing recovery-oriented practice.

RECOVERY OCCURS IN THE CONTEXT OF ONE’S LIFE (English only)
Friday, May 27, 2016
1:00 p.m. - 2:30 p.m. ET

The MHCC’s webinars on recovery-oriented practice are designed for everyone involved in mental health services, including people living with mental health problems or illnesses and their families. Most of all, the webinars are intended for people who can help make the practical, organizational, and cultural shifts needed to develop a truly recovery-oriented mental health system.

This free webinar will be in English and a recording will be available on the website in June 2016. The PowerPoint presentation will also be available afterwards in both English and French. Additionally, please note that the MHCC is planning a live French webinar series with dates to be announced soon.
