Ottawa, ON - The Mental Health Commission of Canada is pleased to announce the release of the first phase of Informing the Future: Mental Health Indicators for Canada, the first national-level set of indicators to identify and report on the mental health of Canadians. This pioneering project aims to reveal the current landscape of the mental health of Canadians and will promote discussion about how to improve mental health across the country.
 

Media Technical Briefing: Informing the Future: Mental Health Indicators for Canada

Speech by Dr. David Goldbloom and Panel Discussion

The launch of the first phase of Informing the Future: Mental Health Indicators for Canada, will take place at a luncheon hosted by the Economic Club of Canada starting at 11:45 a.m. at the Fairmont Château Laurier Hotel, 1 Rideau Street, Ottawa. Participating in the launch will be:

  • Dr. David Goldbloom, Board Chair, MHCC
  • Ms. Louise Bradley, President and CEO,MHCC
  • Dr. Elliot Goldner, Centre for Applied Research and Mental Health, Simon Fraser University
  • Mr. David O’Toole, President and CEO, Canadian Institute for Health Information

Dr. Goldbloom will provide overview remarks followed by a panel discussion with the participants including questions and answers from the audience.

The launch participants will be available to the news media following the luncheon.
