Published in 2012, this third volume in the Early Findings series describes activities that illustrate the potential of Housing First and At Home/Chez Soi project to have a positive impact on people with histories of homelessness and mental health issues, our service systems and communities. It explores how housing is only the first step, with secure, quality housing often being a catalyst to achieve other goals.

This report also profiles activities in local At Home/Chez Soi sites to support the engagement of participants in public speaking, public education, vocational supports and peer support. It describes the involvement of people with lived experience in the project and highlights some of the qualitative research findings about participants' experiences with homelessness.
