This report documents the findings of baseline consumer narrative interviews and summarizes the themes from individual reports from the five At Home/Chez Soi project sites. Key themes identified by the report includes pathways into homelessness, life on the streets and in shelters, and experiences with mental health issues and services. Other cross-cutting themes included the pervasive stigma and discrimination that participants experienced; the complex interrelationships between substance use, mental illness, relationship difficulties and barriers to housing; widespread experiences of trauma; and the essential role of housing as participants envision a different future.

This report also includes a Key Messages document and an Executive Summary at the beginning.
